Write about something you’ve always been curious about.

Prompt Response : One thing I think I have always been curious about was is some of the myths and made up characters that we see in movies, were or are actually real. I have kind of always been interested in vampires and witches. As a kid I would sometimes act like I was a vampire, thinking about it know its kind of embarrassing but I always come across things on the internet or pictures of body's and mummy's, that look like that are not to old and are maybe preserving. There are always videos and clips of mermaids around the internet but I never want to actually believe that it's true because it seems impossible. Even though it would be nice to know there are other things living on this earth other than boring humans.  Summary : Today in class all we had to do was the blog post and nothing else so I used the time to finish up some studying for my math final and my APUSH final.  Reflection : I  spent my time studying to prepare myself for some finals that may give m...

Write about your most special holiday memory.

Prompt Response : One of my most special holiday memories , is maybe when my family went to a trip to Tennesses. It was super cold because it was snowing but It was also super fun, we went ice skating , skiing and did a lot of other activity's. This trip was one of the best trips my family went on because there was no kind of tension so it made it ten times better. I do want to go on another trip like this soon, I hope they plan another one.  Summary : Today we had a sub in class today but the assignment we had was on canvas, reading chapters 8,9 and 10 then after answering some discussion questions that were given with it. Easy assignment today.  Reflection : From today's assignment I learned how to read and answer questions correctly by using my own opinion then tying it into the evidence I got from the text as well.

Write about the best gift you have received.

Prompt Response : One of the best gifts I think I received was my mane coon cat, when he was a kitty. I got him last year for Christmas, i asked a mane coon cat that same year for my birthday, but because they are so expensive my mom said no at the time and shes scared of cats so It was most definitely a no at the time. I didn't think to ask again because I felt like the answer would still be no, then she asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I said the same thing I always say clothes, more perfume, shoes. I never ask for too many things on Christmas. Then the day came, I opened all of the presents I had from both my stepdad and my mom, and I was grateful for all of it, then my granddad walked into the house holding a big box. He sat the box in front of me and told me to open it, I was curious about what it was, especially sense my mom was smiling hard. Then I opened it, and I picked up the cutest kitten I have ever seen , I started to tear up because I wasn't expecting to ...

Write about a song that brings back a specific memory.

Prompt Response : One song that I can say that brings me memories back in Buffalo soldier by Bob Marley, I like most of the songs that he has put out, but I can say that this song specifically reminds me of the granddad, he passed this year recently and it's kind of been hard. When I listen to this song it reminds me less of him and the things that he has instilled in me. When we would run errands together, he would always play this song over and over, to the point where I knew it word for word. Knowing that he is gone I play the song more than I did when he was alive. The song is beautiful and it reminds me of all the good things he did in life and why I want to continue to do great things in his name.   Summary : Today in class we didn't really do much, but Mr. Rease did give us time to finish up some work in the presentations we had about A lesson before dying.    Reflection : From today's lesson I can say that it gave me a chance to think critically about w...

Write about something that you believed as a child.

Prompt response : When i was a kid i believed in a lot, but one thing that i believed without a doubt was the tooth fairy. I believed in the tooth fairy more than any other made up character because my teeth were always coming out, every month a new tooth would come out. Then once they came out i would always have either a dollar, coin, or chocolate under my pillow but what made it so Believeable was the little pixie dust that my mom would put on my face and pillow after placing the gift under my pillow. I would love waking up and believing that small fairies are real and they come to homes and give gifts. I would dress up as fairies for Halloween and have fairy toys. I loved the tooth fairy so finding out she wasn't really was one of the craziest things to hear at the age of 8-9.   Summary : I was absent today so I don't know what they did in class but I took this time to finish up 2 slides from my presentation and edit the ones I already finished beforehand.

Describe a time you couldn’t stop laughing.

Prompt Response : The only time I can remember when I couldn't stop laughing is when I was at the varsity basketball game and me and my best friend and where making comments about a boy, it's not like we didn't like him but the way he dressed and looked was funny. She made a funny comment and I replied by saying oh yeah he looks like the modernized version of that one rock emoji. As soon as I said that she couldn't stop laughing, and me too as well, it was so funny and people were looking at us because of the way we were laughing but it was way too funny to stop laughing. That time is something I can never forget because her reaction is very unexpected.    Summary : Today we did not really have too much class time we had to go to the auditorium, to meet with our counselors to talk about college and what we want to do in college, after high school.   Reflection : From this lesson i learned more about some colleges that fit me and where i fit in a certain categor...

Write about a fear you have overcome.

Prompt Response : When I was younger i always had a fear of snakes. I never liked to look at them , feel them , be close to them nothing because if i did i would freak out. Screaming, kicking , crying at times if my freak outs would result into my breath hitching to the point where i would start hyperventilating. when i was 14 my mom took me to a small fair , at first i wasn´t expecting to see a huge snake on someone's neck but once i saw it i was terrified. My mom thought it would be a good idea if i went to look at it. Once we got closer to it i wanted to scream but i kept calm. It was barely moving the motions it made towards me and made my skin crawl. She paid the man to let me put it on my neck for 10 mins, i didn´t want to do it but wasting my mom's money wouldn´t have felt any better. So i agreed to put it on, once i did i realized it wasn´t all bad but i was still kind of scared.   Summary : Today in class we were given an assignment to do the lesson before dying...

Write about something that you can't stop thinking about.

Prompt Response : I have a pretty bad memory sometimes, and most times I don't really think to hard on certain things, but two days ago a girl that I was never expecting to talk to me again texted me. I did respond because I want to know why she would think it would be okay to text me but she never responded. It's really weird because she only sent emojis and I was confused and I still am, I keep re-reading the message and going back to it because the energy behind it is odd.   Summary : Today in class we read chapters 2-4 and in between each chapter we took time to answer some questions and discuss the meaning of the chapter, breaking it down getting the exact purpose of what the chapter is saying.  Reflection : From this lesson I learned how to break down a reading and get a correct meaning from the reading that I can use to connect to life right know. After that I understood how to answer questions about the reading and how to correctly answer the personal reflec...

Write about a conversation that changed you.

Prompt Response : When I was around the age of 10 me and my cousin were in an argument, about whether or not she was right for telling her mom that she didn't want to stay with her. That she wanted to be  with her dad. She stayed with the argument that she felt like her mom always put her other siblings over her and that she didn't like that when it came to her, her mom didn't really care. I understood her feelings but I wanted her to realize that, it wasn't like that and she had to understand some things from others pov. She knew her dad was in a bad situation and living with him would not get her anywhere but in bad positions. At the end she understood what I was saying and had a different perspective on things.   Summary : I was absent this day but from what I know they did vocab lesson 7, it was a worksheet on the front a table were we  had to determine the definition of the words and then we were to find synonyms and antonyms for the words. After this we h...

Write about a time when you were judged unfairly.

Prompt Response :    The only times i feel judged unfairly is when I am at a flag football game and a flag is thrown on the field for something I didn't do. During the games I make small mistakes and sometimes they are mistakes that shouldn't have a call on them. Those calls make me feel a way sometimes because to myself I know I didn't do anything wrong but I know I cant argue with the referee's. Most times I try to ignore what is said so I will not get mad and other times I express how I feel about it.    Summary :  Today in class we started a novel by Ernest J. Gaines, called A lesson before dying. We read the first chapter in class and honestly it is kind of interesting reading about the life of a black man and the characters in 1963.   Reflection : From today's lesson I learned how to following along with an audio reading while looking at the novel, then after breaking the story down to find theme's and lesson's from the novel that can ...
