Write about a time when you were judged unfairly.

 Prompt Response :  The only times i feel judged unfairly is when I am at a flag football game and a flag is thrown on the field for something I didn't do. During the games I make small mistakes and sometimes they are mistakes that shouldn't have a call on them. Those calls make me feel a way sometimes because to myself I know I didn't do anything wrong but I know I cant argue with the referee's. Most times I try to ignore what is said so I will not get mad and other times I express how I feel about it.  

 Summary :  Today in class we started a novel by Ernest J. Gaines, called A lesson before dying. We read the first chapter in class and honestly it is kind of interesting reading about the life of a black man and the characters in 1963. 

 Reflection : From today's lesson I learned how to following along with an audio reading while looking at the novel, then after breaking the story down to find theme's and lesson's from the novel that can be taught to me in life related to know.

Prompt Response : Moving from my home town has always been a difficult thing for me to handle. As a kid i loved Alabama, it was somewhere i felt safe, somewhere i could do what I wanted and not have to feel suffocated by negative energy. I did not want to leave my family to create a new one with my mom and her boyfriend. Then as I grew older I realized how good of a decision it was. I realize that Alabama was so small and had nothing benefiting my life. Now I am open to many more opportunities.   Summary : Today in class we worked on a one pager, for the Ambush story that we all read on Monday.  Reflection : I learned from today's class how to successfully read and find the quotes, context for themes and vocab words as well. Writing the prompt also gave me a chance to think about my life and how it has expanded throughout the years.

 Today in class we did 10 discussion questions about the story we all read, and if we didn't we had time to finish our presentations on the mural so we could then present Friday.  Today's lesson was easy and quick, so I liked today's assignment.

 Today in class we finished the creating claims assignment, that we started yesterday. From this lesson I learned how to write and create a claim for and against a topic. I will use this method when our next writing assignment comes up, or even if we have one in general.  IM HUNGRYYYY !!!!!
