Write about a song that brings back a specific memory.

 Prompt Response : One song that I can say that brings me memories back in Buffalo soldier by Bob Marley, I like most of the songs that he has put out, but I can say that this song specifically reminds me of the granddad, he passed this year recently and it's kind of been hard. When I listen to this song it reminds me less of him and the things that he has instilled in me. When we would run errands together, he would always play this song over and over, to the point where I knew it word for word. Knowing that he is gone I play the song more than I did when he was alive. The song is beautiful and it reminds me of all the good things he did in life and why I want to continue to do great things in his name. 

 Summary : Today in class we didn't really do much, but Mr. Rease did give us time to finish up some work in the presentations we had about A lesson before dying. 

  Reflection : From today's lesson I can say that it gave me a chance to think critically about what I wanted to say especially on my 4th slide when I have to provide a deeper meaning behind the justice and injustice in the story. I had time to take quotes from the story and break them down so I can give the readers a chance to get a deeper meaning from the quotes.

Prompt Response : Moving from my home town has always been a difficult thing for me to handle. As a kid i loved Alabama, it was somewhere i felt safe, somewhere i could do what I wanted and not have to feel suffocated by negative energy. I did not want to leave my family to create a new one with my mom and her boyfriend. Then as I grew older I realized how good of a decision it was. I realize that Alabama was so small and had nothing benefiting my life. Now I am open to many more opportunities.   Summary : Today in class we worked on a one pager, for the Ambush story that we all read on Monday.  Reflection : I learned from today's class how to successfully read and find the quotes, context for themes and vocab words as well. Writing the prompt also gave me a chance to think about my life and how it has expanded throughout the years.

 Today in class we did 10 discussion questions about the story we all read, and if we didn't we had time to finish our presentations on the mural so we could then present Friday.  Today's lesson was easy and quick, so I liked today's assignment.

 Today in class we finished the creating claims assignment, that we started yesterday. From this lesson I learned how to write and create a claim for and against a topic. I will use this method when our next writing assignment comes up, or even if we have one in general.  IM HUNGRYYYY !!!!!
