  Today in class we took notes on the claim and the different types. Then we completed an assignment about claims where we had to write a claim against and for the situation that was given.    From this lesson I learned about why claims are important and how to use them in our essays and with every argument we may have. I also learned how to write a claim using a claim, that would be for or against the topic. 

 Today in class we took notes on arguments, and what an argument is. We then took notes on the different types of arguments, which are Ethos, Logos, and Pathos. These are all different ways to start an argument and explain.After we did this we did an assignment were we had to see what element went with the situation given.  From this lesson I learned what an argument is and that really anything can be an argument with the right evidence. I also learned how to correctly determine what the argument was, and how to break it down so I can better understand it.   I liked this activity there was some funny parts, but it also maybe me critically think. 

 Today in class we had a sub, so we went into canvas to find today's assignment. We had to complete a News-ela article. 

     Today In class we worked on vocab lesson two, we wrote down the vocab words and the definitions, after this he gave us the task of making up 15 original sentences and then doing exercise 1 with the vocab words.    From this lesson I learned the meaning of new words, and how to turn those words into grammatical correct sentences, doing this task i was able to learn what the words mean and how to use them In everyday language. Doing activity 1 gave me the chance to critically think and match the correct words using only context clues.  I liked this lesson because I was able to do my work in a timely manner and talk with my friends. 

 Today in class we got into groups, in these groups we had to swap computers or papers, so we were able to proof read or edit the person that's in our groups paper. Though because I missed Monday I had to take time to write my introduction and conclusion paragraphs.      From today's lesson I learned the importance of editing and revising, as well as the importance of proof reading, before you hand off your paper to someone else. This essay and the steps we took to complete it will help me when writing for any other core class, especially when I go off to college.    I liked today's task, It was fun and peaceful .. as well as very easy. 

  Today in class we started typing our revised version of our essay.     From this activity I learned how to efficiently type out an essay and change or edit things if needed  while typing, I also learned how to correctly us grammar and how to correct my grammar when typing an essay.  I liked today's lesson because it was independent and easy to work on, it was nice and quiet in class so It made it easier for me to focus.
