 Today in class we got into groups, in these groups we had to swap computers or papers, so we were able to proof read or edit the person that's in our groups paper. Though because I missed Monday I had to take time to write my introduction and conclusion paragraphs. 

    From today's lesson I learned the importance of editing and revising, as well as the importance of proof reading, before you hand off your paper to someone else. This essay and the steps we took to complete it will help me when writing for any other core class, especially when I go off to college. 

  I liked today's task, It was fun and peaceful .. as well as very easy.

 Prompt Response : Throughout my three years of high school I have learned many important life skills. I have learned to be more independent and speak up for myself when needed. Write about a time when you were judged unfairly.

 Prompt Response :    The only times i feel judged unfairly is when I am at a flag football game and a flag is thrown on the field for something I didn't do. During the games I make small mistakes and sometimes they are mistakes that shouldn't have a call on them. Those calls make me feel a way sometimes because to myself I know I didn't do anything wrong but I know I cant argue with the referee's. Most times I try to ignore what is said so I will not get mad and other times I express how I feel about it.    Summary :  Today in class we started a novel by Ernest J. Gaines, called A lesson before dying. Write about a moment when you had to step out of your comfort zone.

 Prompt Response : I think one moment I had to step out of my comfort zone was when I went with my cousin to his farm to ride the horses. I was scared because it was my first time and the horse was way bigger than me and i was afraid of getting hurt. When i was on it at first it wasn't so bad, then he started to pick up speed, and that's when i started to feel my heart beat faster. This was one of the most heart aching things i did but i was glad i did because it was fun in the end.  Summary : Today in class we continued with A lesson before dying, reading chapters 10 - 11 then answering the discussion questions connected to the chapters. We also had to write a letter of advice in the perspective of Grant for an advice column on how it is working with Jefferson.  Reflection : From this I learned how to efficiently answer questions and find evidence connected to a story, I also learned how to correctly write a letter in the perspective of another
