I think one of the important foods from my life maybe is stuffed bell peppers. Even though it is a really simple and easy dish, it holds a lot of power for me. What is the most important aspect of your identiy? Tell what it is and why.

Prompt Response : I think some of the most important aspects of my identity are my personal characteristics, my religion, and my culture. I say this because all of these things I hold dear, I feel like without my personal characteristics I would be just like everyone else and it is what makes me different. My religion shows me how to live my life, and what path I want to go down, being strongly connected to my religion allows me to see things in the eyes of a greater behind, without being so in tuned with my religion, I may be headed into the wrong path. Then my culture, being mixed with a lot of different ethnicity's it was kind of hard for me to really say what my culture was, but now that I understand your culture can be a mix of things it allows my to express my love for being Indian, Puerto Rican, and Jamaican. Being mixed I feel allows me to understand the views of so many people, instead of being stuck up on one thing. Being mixed I feel as if I can speak for all, and not j...

How would you feel if your privacy was invaded online or on your phone? Do you think privacy is a basic civil liberty?

Prompt Response : I feel like it my privacy was invaded, without any of my consent I would feel a way. If there is an explanation that is reasonable I would maybe understand but still I would feel a way, because it would make me feel like like I couldn't have any type of privacy that would be useful to me as a human. Then if my privacy if being invaded with no reason but a just because I can, I would be mad, because how am I supposed to live a life, where I am so called free and I can do what I feel once I'm out of my parents house, but I'm still being held accountable for things that should be kept between me and only me. Without privacy I feel as if I'm a slave to humanity. I do think privacy if civil liberty, I think because one a lot of people think different, and with privacy you can be who you want, when you want without the thought of being held to a certain standard.   Summary : Today in class we worked on a poem by Langston Hughes, the poem mainly outlined the...
Prompt Response : During the break I can't say I did too much, really all I did was sleep , I stayed home up until I had flag football practice or when I went out which was once. I was staying up late though during the break, I didn't really care but my mom said if I don't get enough sleep it could impair my sleep schedule. Over the break I started looking for jobs, mainly because I was bored and I was tired of feeling impecunious . I decided to go out with one of my friends on Thursday just to get out of the house, but I was still kind of bored for the most part I had a good time but the other half I was ready to go home, I had gotten tired of being outside. Once I got home I hopped right into the shower and got into bed, I think being a home body is something that is immutable, because I always get so bored of being out. Over the break my sister would beg and beg me to take her to the park so I did, she was being importunious about it so I took her.  Summary : Absent  ...

It's Super Bowl weekend! Some people watch the Super Bowl for football, others for the commercials, and some just for the halftime show. What’s your favorite part of big events like this, and why?

Prompt Response : If I'm going to be so honest, I do not watch football or any type of sports related shows. So usually when this time comes around I treat it like a regular day. I read a bit, watch tv , and I usually stay on tiktok a lot. I think my mom plans on going out to eat this weekend but I'm not too sure, we sometimes do it just to get out of the house.   Summary : Today we didn't really do anything but take a CFA, which I am pretty sure I did not get a good grade on, but I tried, and he said if we had any missing work do that, but I do not.  Reflection : From this CFA I learned a better way to read and answer questions, and use the process of elimination when I start to second guess my answers.

What do you think are your biggest strengths as a speaker? What challenges do you face when presenting in front of an audience?

Prompt Response : When speaking I think my biggest strengths are voice projection and how I try to engage myself with whoever is watched. Even though I do struggle with a lot of difficulties with my anxiety and trying to stop my heart from almost jumping out of my body. I tend to sometimes move around a lot, and trip over a word or two. I have gotten better in my opinion when it comes to making eye contact, even though I could be better but I feel like for the most part I'm just fine for right know. Summarizing what I have is not a huge deal for me, but me reading directly from what I have like I said before could be better. I always try to take deep breaths and calm my nerves before speaking and sometimes it works.  Summary : Today in class we presented our projects on the A lesson before dying , for my project I did a soundtrack on Vivian's soundtrack.  Reflection : From this lesson I learned an effective way to present a project in front of my class and even in the fu...

Describe a time when you had to speak in front of an audience. What were your fears? How did you handle them? What advice would you give to someone struggling with stage fright?

Prompt Response : A time when i had to speak up in front of a lot of people had to be when i was giving a speech at my dad´s wedding. At the time i didn´t know all of the people there even if they were my family, and i was very shy. So standing on top of an altar and facing so many people made my heart race. Before i got up there though i prayed and i meditated. Once i was relaxed and i told them that i was calm, i got up there and i read my speech well and correctly. I think some advice i would give to someone that has stage friat mostly is just to stay open and always positive, because if you think you're going to do bad then you are.  Summary : Today we took notes on how to properly take notes and understand how to correctly give a speech or presentation.   Reflection : From todays lesson I learned how to correctly give a speech.
