Write about a moment when you had to step out of your comfort zone.

 Prompt Response : I think one moment I had to step out of my comfort zone was when I went with my cousin to his farm to ride the horses. I was scared because it was my first time and the horse was way bigger than me and i was afraid of getting hurt. When i was on it at first it wasn't so bad, then he started to pick up speed, and that's when i started to feel my heart beat faster. This was one of the most heart aching things i did but i was glad i did because it was fun in the end. 

Summary : Today in class we continued with A lesson before dying, reading chapters 10 - 11 then answering the discussion questions connected to the chapters. We also had to write a letter of advice in the perspective of Grant for an advice column on how it is working with Jefferson. 

Reflection : From this I learned how to efficiently answer questions and find evidence connected to a story, I also learned how to correctly write a letter in the perspective of another

Write about a time when you were judged unfairly.

 Prompt Response :    The only times i feel judged unfairly is when I am at a flag football game and a flag is thrown on the field for something I didn't do. During the games I make small mistakes and sometimes they are mistakes that shouldn't have a call on them. Those calls make me feel a way sometimes because to myself I know I didn't do anything wrong but I know I cant argue with the referee's. Most times I try to ignore what is said so I will not get mad and other times I express how I feel about it.    Summary :  Today in class we started a novel by Ernest J. Gaines, called A lesson before dying. Write about an object that holds sentimental value and why it’s important to you.

 Prompt Response : One of the most important things i have is a locket my mom gave me that was her mom's, she gave me the locket on my 15th birthday and at first i was interested because of the appearance and the good shape it was in. Once she told me how it was given to her and how much it meant made me even more happy to have it. I never got a chance to actually meet my grandmother so the locket is one of the things i hold dear.   Summary : Today in class we started learning about how to characterize a person in any novel or story but we used A Lessen Before Dying. We took some notes on characterization and we started an activity about the character we had using ways to characterize him and get a perspective of him.    Reflection : From this lesson I learned how to efficintly characterize a character .
