Write about a feeling that took you by surprise.

 Prompt Response : I can't really remember too many times I've felt a feeling of surprise but one. I was in the car with my mom and we were on the way to the target to find stuff for our house. While driving we were talking about her cousins and the things they used to do as kids. She told me that her , her brother and some of her brothers friends got into a big fight with a group of girls. My mom's brother's friend threw her urine on the girls they were fighting. This story took me by a major surprise I didn't expect that to be the outcome of the fight. 

 Summary : Today in class we started with a Poem from Robert Frost, after we learned a little about him we were given an assignment with a poem written by him. 

 Reflection : From today's lesson I learned how to successfully annotate a poem, I also learned how to come up with a topic for the poem then creating a thesis from those topics.

Prompt Response : Moving from my home town has always been a difficult thing for me to handle. As a kid i loved Alabama, it was somewhere i felt safe, somewhere i could do what I wanted and not have to feel suffocated by negative energy. I did not want to leave my family to create a new one with my mom and her boyfriend. Then as I grew older I realized how good of a decision it was. I realize that Alabama was so small and had nothing benefiting my life. Now I am open to many more opportunities.   Summary : Today in class we worked on a one pager, for the Ambush story that we all read on Monday.  Reflection : I learned from today's class how to successfully read and find the quotes, context for themes and vocab words as well. Writing the prompt also gave me a chance to think about my life and how it has expanded throughout the years.

 Today in class we did 10 discussion questions about the story we all read, and if we didn't we had time to finish our presentations on the mural so we could then present Friday.  Today's lesson was easy and quick, so I liked today's assignment.

 Today in class we finished the creating claims assignment, that we started yesterday. From this lesson I learned how to write and create a claim for and against a topic. I will use this method when our next writing assignment comes up, or even if we have one in general.  IM HUNGRYYYY !!!!!
