Matayzha's Aug/20th blog post

Today in class Mr.Rease was not here so we had a sub, we were assigned a News-ela about an origin myth.

From this News-ela I learned about how the Iroquios believe the world came about, and I also learned about how different they tell their stories just by reading this one. This origin myth also showed me a little about the culture of the native Americans and how they lived. I now realize the importance of religion and culture, how much it can change and show the different qualities of a person. I can begin to appreciate my religion more and realize how much it can impact me. I plan to later study origin myths and find out more significant purpose in them.

I liked the cultural spotlight this lesson gives on native Americans and their story telling.

So far my day is going good, kind of normal for the most part. I am looking forward to going to sleep though.
