Matayzha´s Aug 28th Blog post

 Today in class we took notes on the poem, ¨ Heart ! We will forget him ! ". This is another Emily Dickinson poem that we analyzed and broke down. Then we completed an activity to go with it, we had to draw things that represented both the mind and the heart then describe the two. 

   I learned from this lesson that having a healthy relationship is important and being able to start over is okay. I learned that it is hard to get over a person you loved, but if you keep trying and trying then you may forget the love you still had for that person. In class today it was kind of like learning a life lesson and then learning how to get over it and remain positive.

 I liked today ´ s lesson because it was kind of like learning about life and how relationships can impact my life more than i think, but if i learn to get over it and continue doing what makes me happy i will be fine.

Prompt Response : Moving from my home town has always been a difficult thing for me to handle. As a kid i loved Alabama, it was somewhere i felt safe, somewhere i could do what I wanted and not have to feel suffocated by negative energy. I did not want to leave my family to create a new one with my mom and her boyfriend. Then as I grew older I realized how good of a decision it was. I realize that Alabama was so small and had nothing benefiting my life. Now I am open to many more opportunities.   Summary : Today in class we worked on a one pager, for the Ambush story that we all read on Monday.  Reflection : I learned from today's class how to successfully read and find the quotes, context for themes and vocab words as well. Writing the prompt also gave me a chance to think about my life and how it has expanded throughout the years.

 Today in class we did 10 discussion questions about the story we all read, and if we didn't we had time to finish our presentations on the mural so we could then present Friday.  Today's lesson was easy and quick, so I liked today's assignment.

 Today in class we finished the creating claims assignment, that we started yesterday. From this lesson I learned how to write and create a claim for and against a topic. I will use this method when our next writing assignment comes up, or even if we have one in general.  IM HUNGRYYYY !!!!!
