Sometimes i use practice tests to get familiar with the exam format and timing, which builds confidence and highlights areas to focus on. I find it important to break and relax . The topic is always hard because you want to insure it reflects your passions as the writer but also be able to connect to a wide range audience. Once you have the introduction and the topic down it is easy to write the rest of the essay epesically if you are passionate about it.  Summary : Today in class we did three different assignments on writable, about writing and creating thesis, as well as answering some multiple choice through them.  Reflection : From the lesson today I practiced answering questions connected to a text, and coming up with a thesis based off 3 or 2 quotes.

Today’s article discussed how more people are choosing to live in the suburbs rather than in the city. When you become an adult, which lifestyle do you think you would prefer—city life or suburban life? Choose one and explain your reasons clearly.

Prompt Response : I think personally I would rather have a city personality but live a suburban life. I always wanted to live in a really old big house around a lot of trees , somewhere that's distanced from people but not too far because I would still need some connection to a place where there are more resources around me if anything happens. I have always been someone who is about peace and keep peace, keeping myself around people who want the same as me. I have always wanted to be successful but low-key. Living a suburban life would give me peace and more.  Summary : Today in class all we really did was a common lit, which was about if the U.S. The nation has become the suburbs kind of. Tariffs are often designed to encourage people to buy American-made products. When you shop, do you check where products come from? Would you be willing to pay more for something made in the U.S.? Why or why not?

Prompt Response :    When I shop, I look at where products are made. I think I do this because I like to know where we get things and how the connections are made. I would pay more for an American-made product if it is good quality and made fairly. But it also depends on my budget and if there is something important going on. If there’s a big price difference or similar options for less money, it can be a hard choice. Overall, I like supporting local products because it always me to find more things that fit me.  Summary : Today in class we read a text about Trump's tariffs, after reading the text we answered questions, and a writing prompt about tariff's and the importance of the tariffs While doing this we aimed for a better success at writing and answering questions when there is a prompt.   Reflection: From today's lesson I learned how efficiently read a text then answer questions that come with it. Write about a time when your failure was necessary for your growth. Examples of failures could be failing a major exam, failure to make a team, failure in a relationship, etc.

Prompt Response : At the beginning of the year I wasn't doing so good in my math class. I was always tired, I never had time to study, I was practicing for sports everyday and going to the gym on other days. I didn't realize how bad I was doing until I realized I was not passing most of my test. Once I saw the grade drop I knew i had to lock in and that is just what I did. I have gotten better at my time management and organization so now I have enough time and maybe extra to finish up my assignments. I never have anything missing and I am making A's and B's on every test in that class. I am not proud of my first semester grades but I am happy it showed me how much I was lacking and I was able to pick it up.   Summary : Today in class we finished up the benchmark, the only thing I had to do was write the short narrative which didn't take me too long, so I have time to finish other work.  Reflection : From the lesson today I learned how to successfully write and pla...

We discussed achieving your dream. Think of someone who has already achieved a similar dream. What lessons can you learn from their journey?

Which time do you perfer the most and why, Daylight Savings Time or Standard Time?

Prompt Response : I think I prefer standard time more, mainly because I think it's what I'm used to the most, and watching the change is something I still do not understand . It is cool learning about daylight savings and how it changes the time in only 24hours but it's something I am not used to, it's weird waking up and still seeing that its very dark outside. So I think I'm more used to the regular time so therefore it fits better with me.    Summary : Today was a virtual learning day   Reflection : From reading the newsela I learned more about daylight saving.

Who is the best cook in your family? Describe a meal that person has cooked for you.

Prompt Response : I would say my mom and maybe then my dad, but in my lifetime my mom has cooked so many meals for me from new too old. So I would say my mom, I honestly couldn't say what my favorite meal that she made for me was because I have had so many. I think one that has stuck with me most though is her Cajun garlic seafood pasta. Even though it sounds like a lot it is so good, and the flavors go together so well together. Then I would say maybe her smothered chicken. It's the best and then the way she cooks  the chicken so that it's still crispy while being smothered is really good.   Summary : Today in class we took a bench mark. It took up most of the class time but I still had a little time to finish up some of my cultural food posters.  Reflection : From the bench mark, I think I worked mostly on my skills when it comes to timed test, and answering questions with stories or speeches attached.

As we think about Vocabulary Monday, tell me what is your favorite word RIGHT NOW? Why is it your faovorite word and how often do you use it?

Prompt Response : My favorite word I think right now has to be agape, I think because it explains a lot and because when I use it most people don't understand, plus I like seeing them confused and I get to teach them new words they don't understand.   Summary : Today in class we did vocab lesson 11, using the vocab words given we were told to put them into sentences, after this we had to make a story using the same vocab words but this time we only had to use 3, then there was a part 3 we basically just had to come up with synonyms to help us better understand the words that were given. Then there was another task where we just had to use the words to come up with 4 sentences were the words are used correctly.  Reflection : From today's lesson I learned new words and how to connect them to my everyday life.
